LITTLE CHUNKS OF WATER

This collection of work is an observation of the water's surface with reflective light, patterns and colors that are shifting and ever changing. As seen in the three examples above, each piece of artwork changes in appearance, with the viewer’s body movement at various angles and with the play of natural light. 
 
The “chunks” represent moments in time, while observing oceans, lakes, rivers and seas, that have then seemingly been frozen in time, scooped out of the various bodies of water and presented to you as small, contemporary art forms. They might be small but they make a big impression.
 
Each piece is meticulously hand sculpted with gypsum, dried, then multiple layers of paint, pigments and sometimes gold leaf are applied to the surface of a deep wooden panel, to create this collection of 2D Interactive Sculptural Mixed media works of art.
